A Glimpse Inside Our 200 Hour YTT

There’s the curriculum — and then there’s the experience.

Yes, you’ll study anatomy, philosophy, sequencing, pranayama, meditation, and teaching methodology. You’ll practice daily and learn to confidently hold space.

But what truly defines this training are the in-between moments.

Shared meals. Lake swims. Laughter between classes. Conversations that shift something inside you. Friendships that form fast and last long after graduation.

Our students come from New Zealand and around the world, each arriving for their own reason — and leaving with far more than a certificate.

This is the rhythm of training life.

Not just learning how to teach — but discovering who you become in the process.

After Your 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Graduation

Upon completion of your 200 Hour YTT, you will be eligible to register as an RYT200 (Registered Yoga Teacher 200) with Yoga Alliance.

You can:

  • Teach Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin in any yoga studios internationally
  • Start your own classes or retreats
  • Teach private one on ons
  • Begin online teaching
  • Assist on other Yoga Teacher Trainings
  • Continue into advanced 300-hour trainings

Some yoga teacher graduates begin teaching immediately.
Others take the training purely for personal growth.

Both paths are valid.

What Our Graduates Say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “They made us feel really safe to practice teaching. We felt very comfortable teaching and talking in front of a class all because we started teaching since day 2.” ~ Alina Hase, Germany.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  “The small class size and one-on-one setting was a huge win to find because that’s exactly what I was looking for. Something intimate, a place I could really learn in depth, instead of a room of 50-100 people.” ~ Liz Gareri, Canada.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  “Steve and Joleen’s different teaching styles show you how to embrace your own. Steve’s knowledge is unbelievably vast and Joleen has a calm, confident but fearless ease about her. Malcom, who joined us for three days of Anatomy, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught in such an engaging, hands-on way.” ~ Deanne Cleary, Franz Josef.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the days like? Do we get off days?

Trainings run from 7am – 6pm for 6 days a week with one off day. We will begin our day with a morning asana at 7am, have an hour breakfast from around 9am and morning lectures till around 1pm. Lunch break is always 2 hours. The afternoons will focus on teaching methodology and practice, then its asana theory and workshops. We finish around 6pm each day.

Do we get much teaching practice? I’ve heard stories of other schools that expect you to teach a full class without much teaching practice.

Don’t worry, you will get lots of teaching practices. We encourage our students to teach ‘something’ on day 2 itself. Our trainings are structured in such a way that we guarantee that you will be confident to teach a full class by the beginning of week 3.

Is the training physically demanding?

The training is immersive and full but we don’t run it like a boot camp. You will be supported to pace yourself appropriately.

Do I need to be advanced in yoga?

No. But we highly suggest at least 6 months of consistent yoga practice and most importantly, an open mind and a willingness to learn.
