Luxury Accommodation & Meals in Taupo, New Zealand
Luxurious and Spacious Yoga Venue
Your Home During the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
For the duration of your training, you will live together in a spacious, comfortable holiday home in Taupo.
This is not a retreat centre.
It’s a shared home environment — and that is intentional.
Living together creates connection, support and a sense of community that becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the experience.
Luxury Taupo Accommodation
You will be staying in a beautiful luxury holiday home nestled amongst beautiful native trees and nature at the end of a quiet private driveway in a prestigious Taupo subdivison. Relax and take in spectacular views across Lake Taupo, the largest lake in Australasia, Taupo township, geothermal areas, rolling farmland and distant mountains.
This luxuriously warm, spacious four bedroom residence is truly a luxury yoga training and retreat experience. With spacious living, kitchen and dining areas, there are plenty of spaces for our yogi family to practice and learn and grow in.
Wake up to daily morning yoga in the large open plan living with the sounds of birds and nature outside. With an expansive sun-soaked sheltered courtyard and large open decks, there are plenty of quiet spaces to chill and relax during the breaks.
Our yogi house is only 10 – 15 mins away from the Taupo town centre. Linen and towels are supplied with laundry facilities. Unlimited wifi included.

Vegetarian Self-Catered Meals
Students are responsible for purchasing their own food and have the flexibility to prepare meals either on their own or collaboratively with others.
To foster connection and help everyone settle in, we kick off the training with group dinners for the first two nights. This is a chance for everyone to come together, relax, and start building friendships.
Breakfasts and lunches are usually prepared individually, while dinners become a fun, shared experience, with students volunteering in pairs or small groups to cook for everyone.
This approach creates an enjoyable, educational atmosphere where you can learn from one another, try new recipes, and discover delicious flavors from around the world.
Dietary Requirements & Budgeting
Vegetarian meals are standard during the training, with eggs and dairy allowed.
If you have specific dietary requirements (gluten-free, dairy-free, allergies, etc.), you are fully able to cater to your needs within the shared kitchen space.
Groups are very accommodating of dietary needs and preferences, working together to create nourishing meals that everyone can enjoy.
Taupo town is just a 10-minute drive away. It’s home to supermarkets, health food stores, cafes, and restaurants where you can stock up on essentials or grab lunch.
Students typically budget around NZ$150-$200 for food during the three-week training, making it an affordable and enjoyable part of the journey.
About Lake Taupo
Nestled in New Zealand’s central volcanic plateau, Lake Taupo is the largest freshwater lake in Australasia. This stunning expanse of aquamarine and jade waters is crystal-clear, reaching depths of 13 meters. The lake boasts one of the world’s premier wild trout fisheries, along with diverse wildlife, including over 30 species of water birds and native crayfish.
Taupo is a hub of extraordinary natural beauty, featuring sparkling lakes, trout-filled rivers, ancient forests, geothermal zones, and snow-capped mountains. Visitors can enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, and dining at lakeside restaurants. Outdoor enthusiasts will find national parks, hot springs, and adventure activities such as white-water rafting, skydiving, and bungee jumping.
Taupo is centrally located in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand, about 3 ½ hours’ drive from Auckland and 4 ½ hours’ drive from Wellington. Daily buses are available from most towns in New Zealand or you could opt to fly to Taupo Airport from Auckland or Wellington. We can pick you up from the Taupo bus stop or Airport. Frequently Asked Questions
What is provided? What do we need to bring?
All bedding and linen are provided, including sheets and towels. A washing machine is also available on site. Please bring your toiletries, comfortable practice clothing, and any personal items you’ll need for 19 days.
Are meals included in the training cost?
Meals are self-catered and vegetarian. Your training fee includes accommodation and full access to a well-equipped kitchen. Students shop for and prepare their own meals, with many naturally choosing to cook and share dinners together.
This approach allows flexibility, supports different dietary needs, and keeps the overall investment more accessible.
What does vegetarian mean? Can I have dairy and eggs?
Yes. Vegetarian means no meat, poultry or seafood. Dairy and eggs are absolutely fine unless you personally choose otherwise.
Everyone eats according to their preference, within a shared vegetarian framework.
What if I require animal protein?
Taupo town is just 10 minutes away, with supermarkets and cafés easily accessible. If you choose to consume animal protein, you are welcome to do so outside the home.
To maintain a respectful and comfortable shared environment, we ask that meat is not cooked in the communal kitchen.
How equipped is the kitchen?
The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, oven, stovetop, fridge and storage. Basic pantry staples such as oil, salt, pepper and some spices are available. Tea and coffee are also provided.
